It's not among the most famous places in New York, but it's definitely one of the best for breakfast or brunch. The staff is extremely polite and friendly, the atmosphere is typical American, and the food is tasty and traditionally prepared.

Our first experience at an American diner and we loved it. Andrews NYC Diner delivered classic comfort food with free-flow coffee — always a win.
We had the peanut butter & banana pancake, garden omelet, and cranberry muffin, and everything was fantastic. Hearty portions, cozy diner vibes, and a perfect way to start the morning.

Visited here twice during our Christmas vacation and absolutely loved it!
The service was on point with very clear directions and friendly staff.
Had the steak & eggs, breakfast skillet, toasted chocolate muffin and drinks the first time, all very well cooked, seasoned & presented nicely. The chocolate muffin was the best I've ever tasted!
Second time we came we had the apple/Cinnamon pancakes, crispy bacon, toast, chocolate muffin & drinks.
Again all tasted amazing!
Our servers both times we above and beyond with the service we received and were very accommodating to changes with items on our order.
We would 100% come back here again if in NYC & would recommend anyone visiting here to try it out for a classic American breakfast with the best service we received for our whole trip.

This is a nice diner. The staff are working hard. The place is a wee bit grease overall. The tables and floor could do with a good wash. However the food is spot on. Exactly what you expect from a New Your Diner.

Been some time since I came to a Diner just for the experience of it all and it was pretty solid overall.
Moment I came in I was automatically greeted by one of the employees there and was led to a table in the middle of the Diner. From the outside the place looks narrow but it looks a lot larger when inside as there's a lot of seating and plenty of people in the place, probably concluding after a day of Black Friday shopping. A waitress came about a minute after me taking in the sights and she was very courteous and attentive even with the extra crowd traffic in the restaurant.
I ordered a special or sorts, a starter, entree & dessert special for $28 and in order that is Onion Rings, a Deluxe Cheeseburger w/ Fries and a slice of Apple Pie. Delicious and filled menup proper. Onion Rings had a nice crisp to them, the burger was prepared good, even presented well, could've done with some less lettuce but other than that, it was delightful in taste and texture. The fries although good, most were crisp and a few were soggy but didn't take away from the side as a whole. I couldn't finish the entirety of the fries and rings because I wanted to leave some room left for Apple Pie and it was otherworldly. Toasty, tender, apple crisp with a hint of Cinnamon, it was grand. As for a drink it was standard, just an ice tea as something to wash down the food. Pretty solid for $28, though fo course the Iced Tea came up to $3 then there's tax and a courteous tip which rounded up to $40. Yeah dining in NYC is not for the financially weak.
So yeah, I'd come around again in the future and try out breakfast from there. Once again 2 thumbs up for the servers there, dishing out warm courtesy on a fairly cold day in an even colder city.

No se como calificar este lugar, pero hablaré de la experiencia! Desde que llegué nadie se acercó para preguntar nada, solo era yo pero se preocupaban por atender grupos grandes!! Pensé pedir para to go, pero al final de unos 10min (que estuve esperando alguna atención) me ofrecieron una mesa!! La server no era muy carismática pero supongo que por lo busy fue así el servicio! De todo lo que quería comer, terminé con otra cosa que fuese más rápido para ellos porque si así como me atendieron, sería la comida …. En fin… un lugar que yo no volvería…

Top recommendation for NYC if you're looking for a typical US diner. We've been here twice for breakfast. Absolutely fantastic. Huge selection, super friendly and attentive staff. Coffee is refilled until you drop. As I said, top recommendation.

This owner was recently Sued for discrimination against Jews by Dept of Justice 2025, he yelled at my disabled son and I after we complained about the waitress poor service. Dirty, smelly place to eat. Rude staff, overpriced food, only allow a short time to eat then they grab your plate before you finish chewing, nasty manager and only one bathroom for entire restaurant. Don’t go here!

My husband and I stopped by to catch a quick bite before heading to get our train. It was crowded, but the staff move quickly to get you seated and served in no time. The food was hot and delicious. Excellent service. We will definitely be back!

Andrews NYC Diner was about an 8 min walk from our hotel, which worked because we wanted somewhere close. We were seated right away and the server was quite funny. A middle aged lady with an accent! The food came quickly and was delicious. I don’t recall the price but I know it was cheaper than Carnegie, which we visited a day or so prior. Definitely recommended.

We had breakfast here, and it was okay. The staff was a bit stressed, but that's also due to the location. The diner is very busy as a result. The food was mediocre; many items were left in the oven too long, resulting in burnt items. A juice was also forgotten. The ambiance is nothing special either.

This is our 2nd time to Andrews and we had the breakfast service twice although the dinner menu looks great! The service is always and I mean always great. We've never had to wait, we walk in and get seated at our table. Tables and floors are always clean and the servers are very attentive especially Rasa....she's great! I would recommend this diner each visit. I've never given a restaurant 5 Stars in each category and this is the 1st time. Great Job Andrews and Rasa defining what real dining is suppose to look like. My wife said French Toast is Amazing and I took the picture off a half eaten plate...lol

We went to breakfast at 6:07, with almost no one seated. There was music and air conditioning, the perfect temperature.
Four of us ate, and we were served very quickly and attentively. They came by often to check on us and refill our coffee.
As Italians with much lower breakfast standards, we ordered two of the same size and then split them, which was just the right amount.
We didn't spend much, about $20 per person, but it was more than worth it. FABULOUS!!

Another nice diner in NYC and this one is not too far from Times Square - they are quick and the food is delicious - my favorite was the skillet, nice and clean establishment - one of my friends order the pancake platter and if you mind, it’s not a problem but I don’t agree with the eggs being served on top of your pancakes — not sure if they are attempting to preserve dishes but I recommend they do not plate the food in this way —every single person that was seating nearby requested for an additional plate and removed the eggs off top of their pancakes.

We were seated outside in humid weather. Food was ok. It's not bad at all. I'm just very used to having a lot of flavor (umami) and spice in my food. Servers were attentive but lacked a bit in charm and accommodation but I think it's because of the culture in NYC in general - New Yorkers don't seem to be warm and welcoming everywhere. The atmosphere was ok. For the most part, the inside was clean, can't say the same for the outside though.

Not only thar but I'm not the only customer to complain of stale food. Then you leave a comment on here like you care but you don't offer to replace the bad food or refund the money when the customer is there.
It's okay but it's not cheap.
The fries were stale, awful and $6.00 and Coke was $4.00. (I buy 12 for S9.00 retail so $4.00 for one that you get wholesale is a little steep).
It annoyed me because I thought I was going to get some good cheap coffee shop food worth the price but it wasn't. Burger King would have been better because the fries would be fresh.

The chicken fingers had a sour taste and didn’t taste well at all, we informed the waiter and also told the manager when paying, we didn’t eat. The fries were like they have been sitting all day. Manager did not care what we said, I did tell two customers on the way out not to eat the chicken fingers because something tasted horrible with them. I still tipped the waiter his share but I will never eat at this place again.

Really enjoyed this diner. The atmosphere was bopping lovely and busy full of locals and tourists, staff were friendly I enjoyed watching them have banter with the regular customers. Breakfast was 100% pancakes lovely and fluffy, and the refill coffee was good.

I like what I order here. It's a Florentine omelette having eggs, spinach, olives and feta. Tastes great and it comes with home fries and toast, butter and jam for topping. I'd go 5 stars here but the thing is the rest of their menu the selections don't seem like dishes I want to order, so I don't. I'd like more Greek dishes.

My children are visiting from SC on a mission trip and ate here with a group from our church. She ordered a salad and the salad was bad.. the produce was spoiled. They offered for her to trade it for something else. Then when they brought the bill and it had both the salad and the sandwich she traded for. They are a rip off plus have spoiled food. They need to be investigated by the health department. Disgusting attitude, disgusting food. Do not waste your money bc if they bring you bad food to your table, you are forced to pay for it even if you can’t eat it.

Good and cozy diner With lots of good food
Update: June, 2025 - I came back to NYC after two years and the first breakfast was at Andrew's. And guess what ? Still good food, nice people and the classic dinner feeling. Next visit to NYC (which isn't planed yet) will bring me back to this diner.
I also brought a couple of friends to this place and they all think it is great.

We’ve been here for breakfast - there are different omelettes and pancakes variants, some waffles positions and oatmeal. All omelets are served with your choice of bread and potatoes. Portions are big, taste like at home - rather good, but not striking.
For drinks you can find different coffee, teas and smoothies. Surprisingly coffee isn’t the best one, it could be better. They also serve couple of cocktails like Mimosa, Bellini and Bloody Mary.
Staff is attentive and friendly. Wi-fi is available.

Burgers were ok but small for the price. Fries are pricey for small basket. Owner or manager was in the restroom before me and there was pee all over the toilet seat. The bathroom was not clean. As the owner or manager one would think he would fix it or have cleaned for customers.

We were in NYC for 10 days. Our hotel was on the same street. We wanted an authentic breakfast. Huge selection. They spared no effort to please everyone. We were there almost every day.
We also came for dinner three times. The burgers 🍔 and tacos are excellent. Highly recommended.

First pancakes eaten in New York ! It was trully good ans generous. I tried the Blueberry one and damned, delicious. I didn't finish it because it was too much for me to eat on breakfeast but I totally recommend the experience

We absolutely LOVE this place!!! While in NYC we are there at least once a day and sometimes more! Best diner food ever and the staff and owner are fabulous! Visit anytime you are able! I even bought a tshirt!

I ADORE this place, and is an essential stop every time I’m in NYC for the banana and peanut butter pancakes. As a Brit, the novelty of getting unlimited refills of iced tea also never gets old, and it’s excellent iced tea as well! Others I’ve eaten with have tried other items, sweet and savoury, and no one has ever had a bad meal.

This is a classic American diner. Exactly what we wanted to experience.

here's a restaurant where you're always welcomed, always well seated and where the portions are generous. Friendliness and kindness are the order of the day.
What a pleasure to savor the dishes at Andrews, we went there because it was highly rated, and I must admit I've been there several times and never been disappointed so far, and I'm counting on them not to.

The wait staff has been exceptional on every visit. The menu has a lot of variety and the food is good, but not great. The atmosphere is great. If you are from out of town and want to experience a NYC diner this is a great. There is a restroom and it typically has a line.

Mostly eggs and batter items, few current or healthy offerings. They charge for coffee even after you have ordered another more expensive coffee beverage which is considered inappropriate by industry standards. Manager was dismissive. Go anywhere else.

Visited on 12 May 25, as my son and I wanted to experience a ‘real American diner’ as from movies. Oh my, what a disappointment…. mainly due to service. It was not too busy and we got a nice table straight away. Our waiter was not very open to my questions about the food and mostly answered half Spanish- I think, I don’t speak Spanish but it sounded like this. When our water and coffee was brought to the table, they were placed on our table quite forcefully, almost with a bang and spill. This really confused me as it looked as if the waitress was upset with us. Food was ok and we enjoyed it. Then another waitress came in and basically asked us to finish quickly and pay as the other waitress is finishing her shift….she was very rude almost pushing us out! I spent $43 for two of us - refused to tip

Passed by this place and saw it was crowded for a Tuesday morning so I figured everyone could not be wrong and decided to see why folks were drawn here. I grabbed a seat at the crowded counter and was surprisingly helped within minutes and with a smile. I ordered the Breakfast Sampler and it was served pretty quick. The meal was a hefty portion, and everything was delicious. The counter hostess was attentive to everyone, and had such a lovely personality. Actually, you could speak to any host or server and you'd be warmly acknowledged. Even paying the check was a friendly exchange. I am glad I ate here, and I still had ample time to catch my train.

Older white female waitress on the morning shift was very rude. I think her name was ACNA or sounded like it. Kept walking around and eyeballing me pressuring me to leave the place 2 minutes after I was done with my meal. Completely rude. Food was great. Just this one person completely ruined the environment

Loved loved my visit! I am traveling solo in NY and Ana at the bar was so nice and welcoming! She made me feel as welcome as my mom always made me feel ❤️ I wanted to do more things like the locals and I definitely wanted to visit a diner. I try to avoid Time Square - once was enough! But this visit wasnt too bad! I had an English muffin, it isn’t on the menu but Ana put the order in for me. She was always there to fill my coffee cup and the chocolate croissant was oh so buttery, flaky and absolutely delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again!

The waitress was really rude. She mistakenly ordered scrambled eggs instead of over-easy, and then she proceeded to tell me what I ordered instead of owning up to her mistake. To make matters worse, she took my fork out of my hand and slid the eggs off my plate, leaving my fork sticky. I kept my cool, but I have never in my life been so insulted and disrespected, ever.

Great diner! We went around 9am and it was packed but the line moves cast. We waited around 5 mins and got seated. The team was friendly and quick in terms of suggestion, food preparation and delivery. We had such a good meal, good ambience and great time.

I am not a breakfast person, but i ordered a garden omlette. It came with potatoes, and there was nothing left on my plate when I was finished! The food was amazing, it was packed in the diner but the line moved very fast. Staff was nice. We are visiting from Maryland Overall, 10/10! Thank you!!

A delicious, classic American breakfast with a great price-quality ratio—exactly what I wanted to try on my New York trip! I had the Breakfast Sampler, and it did not disappoint.
The only downside was that our server looked extremely tired and seemed eager to get us out as quickly as possible. I get that it was early, and maybe they had a long night before, but it was a bit of a shame considering how great everything else was.
That said, the food and overall experience were definitely worth it. A solid recommendation for other tourists looking for a proper American breakfast!

We had apple cinnamon pancakes, Nutella French toast and the griddle breakfast. All were delicious and potions were good sizes.

It's just a diner in the tourist center. The food was okay, but you absolutely notice the passing traffic. The staff could have been more accommodating.

Nothing beats a NYC diner. My friend and I came here for breakfast when we were visiting one day. They have a take out section and eat in. Although the line looked long, they move really quickly. We split some pancakes and a skillet. Both were really good with nice big portions and good service.

Classic diner feel in the middle of the bustling city. We were seated right away and our waitress was so nice. We ordered the omelettes with potatoes and toast. Everything was delicious but my potatoes in particular were kind of burnt. The omelette was great though and I really enjoyed the toast. Very reasonable prices. Great spot.

We went two days in a row and it was very seamless each time. A well oiled machine but with personality. We had two different waitresses (Erica and Alicia) and both were kind and made time to chat and continuously check on us. Breakfast skillet is amazing, pancakes and French toast flavorful, coffee and lattes weren’t bad either. I wish there was music or maybe I didn’t hear. Overall experience was quick, satisfying and highly recommended to go in you’re living or traveling in manhattan.

Very busy diner and a good spot for breakfast. The the was super efficient so we were seated in less than ten minutes. Between us we had omelette, french toast and pancakes. All delicious, pancakes MASSIVE. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel comfortable and never rushed us despite how busy the place was.

We went for breakfast and the experience was horrible. We were served by a very unpleasant Mexican waitress. We ordered a breakfast to share for two people with coffee.
In my case, I don't drink as much coffee as a whole cup, which is what they serve, and when he brings it to me I ask him if he could please bring me a glass or another cup so I can empty the coffee and be able to drink it twice WHILE EATING BREAKFAST, OUR INTENTION WAS NOT TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE AS THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO THE REVIEW. That thing about them refilling the coffee is a lie because otherwise they would have had no problem telling us that we could have that coffee and that they could refill it for us while we were having breakfast.
Her response was no, that can't be done, I have to drink my coffee like this or she should throw the coffee at me because if her boss sees it, he will scold her.
The employees are very afraid of their boss since the Mexican waitress told us so. The thing is, I can't give you another cup to empty the coffee because otherwise my boss is going to charge you twice if he sees it.
Obviously if I order a cup it's not to take the coffee with me 🤣.
Quite poor customer service when you go with all the enthusiasm while on vacation.
DON'T GO THERE, the food is terrible and the service is even worse.
In my case, I don't drink as much coffee as a whole cup, which is what they serve, and when he brings it to me I ask him if he could please bring me a glass or another cup so I can empty the coffee and be able to drink it twice WHILE EATING BREAKFAST, OUR INTENTION WAS NOT TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE AS THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO THE REVIEW. That thing about them refilling the coffee is a lie because otherwise they would have had no problem telling us that we could have that coffee and that they could refill it for us while we were having breakfast.
Her response was no, that can't be done, I have to drink my coffee like this or she should throw the coffee at me because if her boss sees it, he will scold her.
The employees are very afraid of their boss since the Mexican waitress told us so. The thing is, I can't give you another cup to empty the coffee because otherwise my boss is going to charge you twice if he sees it.
Obviously if I order a cup it's not to take the coffee with me 🤣.
Quite poor customer service when you go with all the enthusiasm while on vacation.
DON'T GO THERE, the food is terrible and the service is even worse.

I wanted to like this place, but honestly the food was not very good. I had a hamburger and fries. The hamburger was greasy and the fries were undercooked. Very disappointed. The server was pleasant and friendly. Cleanliness was a bit average. I won't be back and can't recommend.

I had the corned beef hash and eggs. I really don’t like how you can only order your fried eggs either undercooked (runny yolk) or overcooked (brown). I don’t like raw eggs and I don’t like my eggs brown. All of their omelettes are brown as well. If your cooks/chefs can’t cook an egg all ways, which is very simple, they may not be able to cook anything else. The potatoes were nice and crispy, so was the hash, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return due to lack of effort.

We went to eat, we ordered a philly cheese steak omelet and some bbq chicken tacos, the food was very average, the potatoes that came as a side dish were burnt and on top of that the man who charges you is very rude and threatening so that you leave him big tips when the food is bad and the service is very normal. In New York for less than an hour. We decided to eat here, and everything was going well. We ordered a strawberry cheesecake and the breakfast sampler. My fiance also ordered a berry smoothie. It took about 20 minutes for our server to bring out the smoothie before we could even order our actual food. She told us that she had broken the first glass and had to remake it. We made it a little more than a quarter through when my fiance realized she had glass in her mouth she spit it out, and we left it on the table. The server apologized, but we never saw the manager until I asked for him at the register. He sat down and called on the phone to I presume the owner or GM. The manager then takes off $5 and walks away, not saying anything. I've been a restaurant manager for over 10 years, and that is not a good guest service mentality. I very much hope my fiance will be okay and did not swallow too much glass with her smoothie.

Stopped here for lunch after getting into the city. We had a party of 5 and we greeted promptly. We're seated in a matter of minutes and had plenty of time to decide what to have.. the service was fantastic and the food was delicious.. had plenty of fries and the burger was done to my satisfaction. Service is horrible. I ask my waitress for a glass of water, she told me she was going on her break and that someone would come give me my water. Then, I asked two others waitress and she told me « mmh » and she was standing in front of the kitchen talking and doing absolutely nothing. I never got my water and its not that complicated!

I have been going to this diner on my trips to New York since 2004. It has never failed to do a great job. A good breakfast, a fair price and a great atmosphere. Keep doing what you're doing because it is great. Also, this place is always busy, which says a lot about the quality of their food!

What a hidden gem! In a slew of NYC restaurants, this place, while often crowded, stands out for lost charm. Originally, we ate at this location for a reason, 2 years ago. We returned recently, while on another trip to NYC with our children because of the food and service. (The noise level seems loud when you enter due to the tight space, but it's chatter and laughter and conversation of others dining. Don't let it turn you away.)
Good portions are large and filling. You feel like you're in your grandmother's dining room being fed- they fill the plate! Menu options are available for gluten-free meals, as well as vegetarian.
Though there's a small wait area, the staff does a good job at controlling the line to get you in and seated. Though there are booths, tables and countertop spaces (great for 1-3 eating), depending on your party size, there may be a wait. It may be best for smaller group sizes; definitely no more than 6. More than likely, you will wait, unless going early. We recognized some of the same staff from when we were there 2 years ago, so that tells us they're happy, or treated well - I mean, in a chaotic diner, you wouldn't stay working there if you weren't with so many options in the city! We loved our server at the countertop. I can't speak for others' service. The breakfast was pretty good. My wife liked her breakfast platter a lot. The eggs and bacon are good. I think the pancakes could use more flavor. You get tiny packets of butter and small packets of syrup. That could be better. The waitress rushed us to order and wasn’t friendly. She didn’t return to refill coffee or ask how we are doing. They started setting our table for the next guest before we left the table. So this was a mixed experience.

Jan 2 9:00 am. We walked into a nearly full house and were greeted and seated immediately. We had coffee and a latte before we knew it. Despite being near capacity (I’ll guess 120) we had hot breakfast served in a surprisingly short time. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Five stars.

So the food was okay. Not perfect. But not bad either. Price performance okay. But suddenly our waitress just threw us the receipt(!) when we wanted to order something else and she didn't seem enthusiastic. Brought it to us and gave us the receipt again without comment. No idea why. At first she was stressed but not unfriendly. Too bad.

Ok first we walked 10 blocks in the rain to eat here. I ordered the Philly steak omelet and my wife got French toast. The steak was I believe steak ums. The home fries tasted like cabbage and I found blue berries and a big peice of plastic in my omelet. When bringing it to the managers attention he blew it off like it wasn't a big deal then asked if I wanted something eles. Umm NO! absolutely horrible and would never eat here again

We stopped in last Saturday morning for an early breakfast and fuel up for a long day of sightseeing and walking. When we arrived, there was a line-up but we were seated within 5 minutes. We were really surprised since there were 7 of us. Eggs, toast, and home fries were excellent. Reasonable price, very quick service, and tasted great. The coffee was really good. The diner was very busy but they have fast and friendly service. We will come back again the next time we are in NYC.

Great meal. Very busy, popular place; expect a wait. Food comes out pretty quick for the amount of people going in and out. They turn tables in less than two minutes; super efficient. Food was tasty, and there are lots of options. They DO NOT have real maple syrup.

We walked past this place on a lunch time and it was super busy so decided we would pop by for breakfast the next day. WOW. We were not disappointed. They accommodated us so well as a family of 3 with a toddler. The food was fab! The service was great. What I would think of as a proper American diner! Highly recommend and would like to try lunch next time.

Been here a few times whilst in NYC, it’s great. The service is really quick, the breakfasts are great (much better than any of the hotel restaurants in the area) and the prices are very good.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. We were initially seated at a very poor spot—a window table partially blocked by the back of a TV screen—even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Upon our request, a friendly waitress did move us to a better table, which we appreciated.
However, the disappointment continued when we ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice. It was clearly not fresh and tasted artificial, likely made from concentrate or a carton. Despite this, we were charged the high price for what was advertised as fresh juice, which was very frustrating. Overall, our visit was underwhelming, and we cannot recommend this place!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this place, as an international employee I have tax exempt status in the US, however the ignorant manager with a bad attitude refused to remove the taxes despite me explaining to him that this is law, I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and shops all over the US this is the first and only time any shop or restaurateur refuses to do so as this is federal law. Will report this place to the Department of State.
And despite your false claim the card was presented to you for personal use, I was the one paying the check and the rest of the party were my family. You see personal use doesn’t mean individual use.
As for the form it is not mandatory for me to fill before every single item or meal I purchase, all the other shops and restaurants in NY remove the taxes based on the card only, because it is issued from the department of state and clearly states “this card entitles the bearer to nationwide exemption from taxes imposed on all purchases including hotel stays and restaurant meals”. They simply take a copy of it and keep it in their records. And unlike you they do not consider presenting them the card as “shoving it” as they know how to treat their customers, It would be wiser for you to learn from them.

The food here was sooo good. It was super busy, but the service was still fast. I would say if you are looking for new breakfast foods and new ideas, this is not the place to go. It's a traditional Sunday morning dinner. Pepsi products.

The place is tucked away, there was a line but the move quick so it was not a long wait! I had the bagel and toast, which was good along with the hot chocolate! The omelette was bland, and the potatoes tasted like fish instead of cooked potatoes. The breakfast sampler was good and portion size was great, the blueberry pancakes were good and delivered what was expected. Overall, we would probably pick another place to go to but it is worth a try due to their popularity!

The lengthy morning wait in this place became a forgotten inconvenience the moment the food arrived. There's something about perfectly cooked bacon and eggs that sets the day off right. But it was the omelet that truly took me back. The Mexican omelet, in particular, was a standout, packed with flavor, the kind of breakfast I hadn't enjoyed in ages. The potatoes, too, were something special. There must be a secret ingredient in the New York air that makes potatoes taste better, and this place had it figured out. It’s rare to find a spot that gets it just right, making those potatoes a memorable part of the meal. It made me want to take up cooking lessons just to replicate that perfect taste. Amidst the bustling morning, our server, who I remember was Asian and I assume Japanese, added a layer of warmth to our experience. It’s wasn't every day I see such diversity in service here, and his professionalism and kindness didn't go unnoticed. Despite the rush, he made us feel welcomed and unhurried.

Excellent food, fast service and quick seating. The margarita pizza was superb with a perfect sauce and fresh Mozzarella. The French toast was THE best French toast I've ever had, perfectly fluffy with a satisfyingly, light hint of vanilla. Garden omelet was cooked a little too well but had a nice variety of veggies. The roasted potatoes were delicious.

Came in and was a queue but asked the waiter how long roughly and he said how am I supposed to tell you that. Really rude and didn’t have any manners or respect. Food was ok but nothing special. If you want to keep customers or gain new ones then you have to be friendly.

Wonderful service. We didn't want potatoes as it's too heavy at breakfast and our waitress said we can substitute lettuce, tomato or cucumber. The cukes won and it was certainly refreshing. The service is excellent here, very friendly.

The staff is great, especially our very attentive waitress at the counter. The food was hot and came out quick. Home fries were crispy and seasoned! It’s a fast paced place, but you’re never rushed. I was full after my breakfast, but they had tons of options for baked goods that looked amazing. Andrew’s is a must for breakfast if you’re in NY.

amazing food!!!!! my husband and I had the breakfast sampler and everything was delicious, especially the French toast. There was a line to be seated but it kept moving quickly. The diner is tiny, and the bathrooms are awful, there's one or two on the ground floor but you can go downstairs and there's a few more. Our waitress was a skilled one, she could remember orders and was always on top of everything. I would totally come back!

3 times we visited was for breakfast and all I can say is WOW. Loads of choice, sweet and savoury! We had both, and it was out of this world. I had the meat lovers omelette which comes with potatoes and I would definitely recommend and the Nutella French bread is to die for!!
My husband had the Philly omelette which he said was amazing! He also had blueberry pancakes one morning which he said were phenomenal- I don’t think pancakes in the UK can compare!!! A proper American experience!

Another NYC diner that left me unimpressed. Service was good and friendly, but the food was nothing to brag about. The blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage were pretty good. But here we go again with the onions and peppers in the potatoes. Just stop…not everyone likes that!! My husband had an omelet, and he liked it! Just wasn’t what I was hoping for as far as food…

In town from Louisville for Basketball so just walking downtown looking for food and came across this spot and they didn't disappoint. Service was just fine. We tried 3 appetizers potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and wings all were good. We all were pleased with our entrees and we also got a slice of cheesecake and apple. Would definitely go back.

Enjoyed dinner here on a weeknight around 8:30pm, so there were lots of table booths available. Our server was courteous, fast & efficient. I had a chicken sandwich (a bit on the dry side) & my guest had pancakes & bacon for dinner! This is a basic, brightly lit diner, so what you see is what you get. Nothing fancy, just comfort food in a classic "diner" environment. // At the cashier's check-out station, there are some baked goods displayed in a glass case. We ordered some large baked muffins to take back to the hotel. Delicious!

My new favorite gem in NY. This diner is officially my favorite breakfast spot in the city. It's hard to find somewhere that offers real breakfast food at a decent price.
The staff is exceptionally fast and friendly (from front to back). Every bite of your food leaves your mouth in joy! I had the 2, 2, 2 and my fiancée had the omelet - both of us were impressed by the flavors.
We will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC!

Nice atmosphere. Our cheese sticks and chili was good. However, my husband’s pizza was a little too burned under the bottom. He sent it back and ordered a Philly Panini. My chicken Panini was good but his was not. The meat was not chopped up at all and was dry. The manager tried to charge us for his food despite him not liking it and sending it back. They had can drinks rather than fountain drinks. So it was no refills.

Had breakfast at this place when visiting the city and had a delicious breakfast. The place gets crowded soon and you will have to wait in the queue to get a table. If you want to have breakfast without waiting for about 10-15 mins I highly suggest you book a table in advance. They have a nice spread of breakfast, smoothies and coffee. The food was amazing and so as the customer service. Food was served promptly once you place the order. Will visit again when in NYC.

Busy little diner but the service is quick. Food is hot and off the grill; you can see the steam from the pancakes. I like the breakfast specials. They serve large portions so your not hungry when you’re done. Been here 3x’s this week.

We stopped in late for some desserts. We were not disappointed. I had the cheesecake which was excellent, no frills, just the cake. My wife had an ice cream sundae with a brownie and it was also terrific. My wife got a decaf coffee and it was pretty old and she sent it back which is the only reason they aren't getting 5 stars from me.

We ate here twice while visiting the City. Found it to be a clean, modern, and friendly update to the prototypical NYC diner. Service was efficient, the menu was diverse enough for both of us to find something appealing, and the prices were reasonable. They even had some alcoholic drinks on the menu for those who would like to partake. I enjoyed the French toast, eggs, and bacon I had as well as the omelette. My companion enjoyed her omelette and tuna melt the previous day. Would highly recommend.

Our first experience at an American diner and we loved it. Andrews NYC Diner delivered classic comfort food with free-flow coffee — always a win.

Again all tasted amazing!
Our servers both times we above and beyond with the service we received and were very accommodating to changes with items on our order.
We would 100% come back here again if in NYC & would recommend anyone visiting here to try it out for a classic American breakfast with the best service we received for our whole trip.

Been some time since I came to a Diner just for the experience of it all and it was pretty solid overall.
Moment I came in I was automatically greeted by one of the employees there and was led to a table in the middle of the Diner. From the outside the place looks narrow but it looks a lot larger when inside as there's a lot of seating and plenty of people in the place, probably concluding after a day of Black Friday shopping. A waitress came about a minute after me taking in the sights and she was very courteous and attentive even with the extra crowd traffic in the restaurant.
I ordered a special or sorts, a starter, entree & dessert special for $28 and in order that is Onion Rings, a Deluxe Cheeseburger w/ Fries and a slice of Apple Pie. Delicious and filled menup proper. Onion Rings had a nice crisp to them, the burger was prepared good, even presented well, could've done with some less lettuce but other than that, it was delightful in taste and texture. The fries although good, most were crisp and a few were soggy but didn't take away from the side as a whole. I couldn't finish the entirety of the fries and rings because I wanted to leave some room left for Apple Pie and it was otherworldly. Toasty, tender, apple crisp with a hint of Cinnamon, it was grand. As for a drink it was standard, just an ice tea as something to wash down the food. Pretty solid for $28, though fo course the Iced Tea came up to $3 then there's tax and a courteous tip which rounded up to $40. Yeah dining in NYC is not for the financially weak.
So yeah, I'd come around again in the future and try out breakfast from there. Once again 2 thumbs up for the servers there, dishing out warm courtesy on a fairly cold day in an even colder city.

No se como calificar este lugar, pero hablaré de la experiencia! Desde que llegué nadie se acercó para preguntar nada, solo era yo pero se preocupaban por atender grupos grandes!! Pensé pedir para to go, pero al final de unos 10min (que estuve esperando alguna atención) me ofrecieron una mesa!! La server no era muy carismática pero supongo que por lo busy fue así el servicio! De todo lo que quería comer, terminé con otra cosa que fuese más rápido para ellos porque si así como me atendieron, sería la comida …. En fin… un lugar que yo no volvería…

This owner was recently Sued for discrimination against Jews by Dept of Justice 2025, he yelled at my disabled son and I after we complained about the waitress poor service. Dirty, smelly place to eat. Rude staff, overpriced food, only allow a short time to eat then they grab your plate before you finish chewing, nasty manager and only one bathroom for entire restaurant. Don’t go here!

Andrews NYC Diner was about an 8 min walk from our hotel, which worked because we wanted somewhere close. We were seated right away and the server was quite funny. A middle aged lady with an accent! The food came quickly and was delicious. I don’t recall the price but I know it was cheaper than Carnegie, which we visited a day or so prior. Definitely recommended.

We had breakfast here, and it was okay. The staff was a bit stressed, but that's also due to the location. The diner is very busy as a result. The food was mediocre; many items were left in the oven too long, resulting in burnt items. A juice was also forgotten. The ambiance is nothing special either.

This is our 2nd time to Andrews and we had the breakfast service twice although the dinner menu looks great! The service is always and I mean always great. We've never had to wait, we walk in and get seated at our table. Tables and floors are always clean and the servers are very attentive especially Rasa....she's great! I would recommend this diner each visit. I've never given a restaurant 5 Stars in each category and this is the 1st time. Great Job Andrews and Rasa defining what real dining is suppose to look like. My wife said French Toast is Amazing and I took the picture off a half eaten plate...lol

We went to breakfast at 6:07, with almost no one seated. There was music and air conditioning, the perfect temperature.
Four of us ate, and we were served very quickly and attentively. They came by often to check on us and refill our coffee.
As Italians with much lower breakfast standards, we ordered two of the same size and then split them, which was just the right amount.
We didn't spend much, about $20 per person, but it was more than worth it. FABULOUS!!

Another nice diner in NYC and this one is not too far from Times Square - they are quick and the food is delicious - my favorite was the skillet, nice and clean establishment - one of my friends order the pancake platter and if you mind, it’s not a problem but I don’t agree with the eggs being served on top of your pancakes — not sure if they are attempting to preserve dishes but I recommend they do not plate the food in this way —every single person that was seating nearby requested for an additional plate and removed the eggs off top of their pancakes.

We were seated outside in humid weather. Food was ok. It's not bad at all. I'm just very used to having a lot of flavor (umami) and spice in my food. Servers were attentive but lacked a bit in charm and accommodation but I think it's because of the culture in NYC in general - New Yorkers don't seem to be warm and welcoming everywhere. The atmosphere was ok. For the most part, the inside was clean, can't say the same for the outside though.

The chicken fingers had a sour taste and didn’t taste well at all, we informed the waiter and also told the manager when paying, we didn’t eat. The fries were like they have been sitting all day. Manager did not care what we said, I did tell two customers on the way out not to eat the chicken fingers because something tasted horrible with them. I still tipped the waiter his share but I will never eat at this place again.

My children are visiting from SC on a mission trip and ate here with a group from our church. She ordered a salad and the salad was bad.. the produce was spoiled. They offered for her to trade it for something else. Then when they brought the bill and it had both the salad and the sandwich she traded for. They are a rip off plus have spoiled food. They need to be investigated by the health department. Disgusting attitude, disgusting food. Do not waste your money bc if they bring you bad food to your table, you are forced to pay for it even if you can’t eat it.

We’ve been here for breakfast - there are different omelettes and pancakes variants, some waffles positions and oatmeal. All omelets are served with your choice of bread and potatoes. Portions are big, taste like at home - rather good, but not striking.
For drinks you can find different coffee, teas and smoothies. Surprisingly coffee isn’t the best one, it could be better. They also serve couple of cocktails like Mimosa, Bellini and Bloody Mary.

I ADORE this place, and is an essential stop every time I’m in NYC for the banana and peanut butter pancakes. As a Brit, the novelty of getting unlimited refills of iced tea also never gets old, and it’s excellent iced tea as well! Visited on 12 May 25, as my son and I wanted to experience a ‘real American diner’ as from movies. Oh my, what a disappointment…. mainly due to service. It was not too busy and we got a nice table straight away. Our waiter was not very open to my questions about the food and mostly answered half Spanish- I think, I don’t speak Spanish but it sounded like this. When our water and coffee was brought to the table, they were placed on our table quite forcefully, almost with a bang and spill. This really confused me as it looked as if the waitress was upset with us. Food was ok and we enjoyed it. Then another waitress came in and basically asked us to finish quickly and pay as the other waitress is finishing her shift….she was very rude almost pushing us out! I spent $43 for two of us - refused to tip

Passed by this place and saw it was crowded for a Tuesday morning so I figured everyone could not be wrong and decided to see why folks were drawn here. I grabbed a seat at the crowded counter and was surprisingly helped within minutes and with a smile. I ordered the Breakfast Sampler and it was served pretty quick. The meal was a hefty portion, and everything was delicious. The counter hostess was attentive to everyone, and had such a lovely personality. Actually, you could speak to any host or server and you'd be warmly acknowledged. Even paying the check was a friendly exchange. I am glad I ate here, and I still had ample time to catch my train.

Loved loved my visit! I am traveling solo in NY and Ana at the bar was so nice and welcoming! She made me feel as welcome as my mom always made me feel ❤️ I wanted to do more things like the locals and I definitely wanted to visit a diner. I try to avoid Time Square - once was enough! But this visit wasnt too bad! I had an English muffin, it isn’t on the menu but Ana put the order in for me. She was always there to fill my coffee cup and the chocolate croissant was oh so buttery, flaky and absolutely delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again!

The waitress was really rude. She mistakenly ordered scrambled eggs instead of over-easy, and then she proceeded to tell me what I ordered instead of owning up to her mistake. To make matters worse, she took my fork out of my hand and slid the eggs off my plate, leaving my fork sticky. I kept my cool, but I have never in my life been so insulted and disrespected, ever.

Great diner! We went around 9am and it was packed but the line moves cast. We waited around 5 mins and got seated. The team was friendly and quick in terms of suggestion, food preparation and delivery. We had such a good meal, good ambience and great time.

A delicious, classic American breakfast with a great price-quality ratio—exactly what I wanted to try on my New York trip! I had the Breakfast Sampler, and it did not disappoint.
The only downside was that our server looked extremely tired and seemed eager to get us out as quickly as possible. I get that it was early, and maybe they had a long night before, but it was a bit of a shame considering how great everything else was.
That said, the food and overall experience were definitely worth it. A solid recommendation for other tourists looking for a proper American breakfast!

Stumbled across this place looking for breakfast. This place is really popular so be prepared to queue. We waited around 10 mins for a table of 3.

Nothing beats a NYC diner. My friend and I came here for breakfast when we were visiting one day. They have a take out section and eat in. Although the line looked long, they move really quickly. We split some pancakes and a skillet. Both were really good with nice big portions and good service.

We went two days in a row and it was very seamless each time. A well oiled machine but with personality. We had two different waitresses (Erica and Alicia) and both were kind and made time to chat and continuously check on us. Breakfast skillet is amazing, pancakes and French toast flavorful, coffee and lattes weren’t bad either. I wish there was music or maybe I didn’t hear. Overall experience was quick, satisfying and highly recommended to go in you’re living or traveling in manhattan.

Very busy diner and a good spot for breakfast. The the was super efficient so we were seated in less than ten minutes. Between us we had omelette, french toast and pancakes. All delicious, pancakes MASSIVE. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel comfortable and never rushed us despite how busy the place was.

In my case, I don't drink as much coffee as a whole cup, which is what they serve, and when he brings it to me I ask him if he could please bring me a glass or another cup so I can empty the coffee and be able to drink it twice WHILE EATING BREAKFAST, OUR INTENTION WAS NOT TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE AS THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO THE REVIEW. That thing about them refilling the coffee is a lie because otherwise they would have had no problem telling us that we could have that coffee and that they could refill it for us while we were having breakfast.
Her response was no, that can't be done, I have to drink my coffee like this or she should throw the coffee at me because if her boss sees it, he will scold her.
The employees are very afraid of their boss since the Mexican waitress told us so. The thing is, I can't give you another cup to empty the coffee because otherwise my boss is going to charge you twice if he sees it.

I had the corned beef hash and eggs. I really don’t like how you can only order your fried eggs either undercooked (runny yolk) or overcooked (brown). I don’t like raw eggs and I don’t like my eggs brown. All of their omelettes are brown as well. If your cooks/chefs can’t cook an egg all ways, which is very simple, they may not be able to cook anything else. The potatoes were nice and crispy, so was the hash, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return due to lack of effort.

In New York for less than an hour. We decided to eat here, and everything was going well. We ordered a strawberry cheesecake and the breakfast sampler. My fiance also ordered a berry smoothie. It took about 20 minutes for our server to bring out the smoothie before we could even order our actual food. She told us that she had broken the first glass and had to remake it. We made it a little more than a quarter through when my fiance realized she had glass in her mouth she spit it out, and we left it on the table. The server apologized, but we never saw the manager until I asked for him at the register. He sat down and called on the phone to I presume the owner or GM. The manager then takes off $5 and walks away, not saying anything. I've been a restaurant manager for over 10 years, and that is not a good guest service mentality. I very much hope my fiance will be okay and did not swallow too much glass with her smoothie.

We were in NY for 7 days in December 2024 and enjoyed having breakfast there every morning. Our hotel was around the corner. Very nice, funny and stress-resistant staff. The diner is always very well attended.

Stopped here for lunch after getting into the city. We had a party of 5 and we greeted promptly. We're seated in a matter of minutes and had plenty of time to decide what to have.. the service was fantastic and the food was delicious.. had plenty of fries and the burger was done to my satisfaction. Service is horrible. I ask my waitress for a glass of water, she told me she was going on her break and that someone would come give me my water. Then, I asked two others waitress and she told me « mmh » and she was standing in front of the kitchen talking and doing absolutely nothing. I never got my water and its not that complicated!

I have been going to this diner on my trips to New York since 2004. It has never failed to do a great job. A good breakfast, a fair price and a great atmosphere. Keep doing what you're doing because it is great. Also, this place is always busy, which says a lot about the quality of their food!

What a hidden gem! In a slew of NYC restaurants, this place, while often crowded, stands out for lost charm. Originally, we ate at this location for a reason, 2 years ago. We returned recently, while on another trip to NYC with our children because of the food and service. (The noise level seems loud when you enter due to the tight space, but it's chatter and laughter and conversation of others dining. Don't let it turn you away.)
Good portions are large and filling. You feel like you're in your grandmother's dining room being fed- they fill the plate! Menu options are available for gluten-free meals, as well as vegetarian.
Though there's a small wait area, the staff does a good job at controlling the line to get you in and seated. Though there are booths, tables and countertop spaces (great for 1-3 eating), depending on your party size, there may be a wait. It may be best for smaller group sizes; definitely no more than 6. More than likely, you will wait, unless going early. We recognized some of the same staff from when we were there 2 years ago, so that tells us they're happy, or treated well - I mean, in a chaotic diner, you wouldn't stay working there if you weren't with so many options in the city! We loved our server at the countertop. I can't speak for others' service. Our server worked the same counter during our last visit as well, and for the 3 days we ate there, she remembered our faces and breakfast meal selections. She was kind, friendly and funny. It was good to see her still working there.
There are bathrooms in the back right corner. You'll squeeze through, but they're there.
The only bad thing is that while the restaurant is handicap accessible per law, it is not handicap friendly for wheelchairs. The breakfast was pretty good. My wife liked her breakfast platter a lot. The eggs and bacon are good. I think the pancakes could use more flavor. You get tiny packets of butter and small packets of syrup. That could be better. The waitress rushed us to order and wasn’t friendly. She didn’t return to refill coffee or ask how we are doing. They started setting our table for the next guest before we left the table. So this was a mixed experience.

Jan 2 9:00 am. We walked into a nearly full house and were greeted and seated immediately. We had coffee and a latte before we knew it. Despite being near capacity (I’ll guess 120) we had hot breakfast served in a surprisingly short time. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Five stars.

Nice typical American diner. Great atmosphere. Went here for breakfast and food was great. We had to wait 10/15 minutes to be seated because it was quite busy. Poor thing was that they wanted us to leave the restaurant as soon as we finished the meal because of the line.

Classic diner. It was super busy since we came on Christmas eve, but got seated within half an hour. The garden omlette was good but should've asked for cheese. Good portions. The strawberry milkshake taste like frozen Korean strawberry milk!

Outstanding spot for breakfast... ate here for the first time on New Year's day 2025... corned beef hash eggs sourdough toast served fast and quite good... from the gentleman at the front door graciously managing the line of folk waiting to be served to Amanda who is just a wonderful waitress!... would definitely return to this diner

So the food was okay. Not perfect. But not bad either. Price performance okay. But suddenly our waitress just threw us the receipt(!) when we wanted to order something else and she didn't seem enthusiastic. Brought it to us and gave us the receipt again without comment. No idea why. At first she was stressed but not unfriendly. Too bad.

Ok first we walked 10 blocks in the rain to eat here. I ordered the Philly steak omelet and my wife got French toast. The steak was I believe steak ums. The home fries tasted like cabbage and I found blue berries and a big peice of plastic in my omelet. When bringing it to the managers attention he blew it off like it wasn't a big deal then asked if I wanted something eles. Umm NO! absolutely horrible and would never eat here again

We stopped in last Saturday morning for an early breakfast and fuel up for a long day of sightseeing and walking. When we arrived, there was a line-up but we were seated within 5 minutes. We were really surprised since there were 7 of us. Eggs, toast, and home fries were excellent. Reasonable price, very quick service, and tasted great. The coffee was really good. The diner was very busy but they have fast and friendly service. We will come back again the next time we are in NYC.

Great meal. Very busy, popular place; expect a wait. Food comes out pretty quick for the amount of people going in and out. They turn tables in less than two minutes; super efficient. Food was tasty, and there are lots of options. They DO NOT have real maple syrup.

We walked past this place on a lunch time and it was super busy so decided we would pop by for breakfast the next day. WOW. We were not disappointed. They accommodated us so well as a family of 3 with a toddler. The food was fab! The service was great. What I would think of as a proper American diner! Highly recommend and would like to try lunch next time.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. We were initially seated at a very poor spot—a window table partially blocked by the back of a TV screen—even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Upon our request, a friendly waitress did move us to a better table, which we appreciated.
However, the disappointment continued when we ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice. It was clearly not fresh and tasted artificial, likely made from concentrate or a carton. Despite this, we were charged the high price for what was advertised as fresh juice, which was very frustrating. Overall, our visit was underwhelming, and we cannot recommend this place!

This place is crazy busy for breakfast! The wait was not too long and the rush was understandable.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this place, as an international employee I have tax exempt status in the US, however the ignorant manager with a bad attitude refused to remove the taxes despite me explaining to him that this is law, I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and shops all over the US this is the first and only time any shop or restaurateur refuses to do so as this is federal law. Will report this place to the Department of State.
And despite your false claim the card was presented to you for personal use, I was the one paying the check and the rest of the party were my family. You see personal use doesn’t mean individual use.
As for the form it is not mandatory for me to fill before every single item or meal I purchase, all the other shops and restaurants in NY remove the taxes based on the card only, because it is issued from the department of state and clearly states “this card entitles the bearer to nationwide exemption from taxes imposed on all purchases including hotel stays and restaurant meals”. They simply take a copy of it and keep it in their records. And unlike you they do not consider presenting them the card as “shoving it” as they know how to treat their customers, It would be wiser for you to learn from them.

The omelette was bland, and the potatoes tasted like fish instead of cooked potatoes. The breakfast sampler was good and portion size was great, the blueberry pancakes were good and delivered what was expected. Overall, we would probably pick another place to go to but it is worth a try due to their popularity!

The lengthy morning wait in this place became a forgotten inconvenience the moment the food arrived. There's something about perfectly cooked bacon and eggs that sets the day off right. But it was the omelet that truly took me back. The Mexican omelet, in particular, was a standout, packed with flavor, the kind of breakfast I hadn't enjoyed in ages. The potatoes, too, were something special. There must be a secret ingredient in the New York air that makes potatoes taste better, and this place had it figured out. It’s rare to find a spot that gets it just right, making those potatoes a memorable part of the meal. It made me want to take up cooking lessons just to replicate that perfect taste. Amidst the bustling morning, our server, who I remember was Asian and I assume Japanese, added a layer of warmth to our experience. It’s wasn't every day I see such diversity in service here, and his professionalism and kindness didn't go unnoticed. Despite the rush, he made us feel welcomed and unhurried.

Excellent food, fast service and quick seating. The margarita pizza was superb with a perfect sauce and fresh Mozzarella. The French toast was THE best French toast I've ever had, perfectly fluffy with a satisfyingly, light hint of vanilla. Garden omelet was cooked a little too well but had a nice variety of veggies. The roasted potatoes were delicious.

Came in and was a queue but asked the waiter how long roughly and he said how am I supposed to tell you that. Really rude and didn’t have any manners or respect. Food was ok but nothing special. If you want to keep customers or gain new ones then you have to be friendly.

Wonderful service. We didn't want potatoes as it's too heavy at breakfast and our waitress said we can substitute lettuce, tomato or cucumber. The cukes won and it was certainly refreshing. The service is excellent here, very friendly.

The staff is great, especially our very attentive waitress at the counter. The food was hot and came out quick. Home fries were crispy and seasoned! It’s a fast paced place, but you’re never rushed. I was full after my breakfast, but they had tons of options for baked goods that looked amazing. Andrew’s is a must for breakfast if you’re in NY.

amazing food!!!!! my husband and I had the breakfast sampler and everything was delicious, especially the French toast. There was a line to be seated but it kept moving quickly. The diner is tiny, and the bathrooms are awful, there's one or two on the ground floor but you can go downstairs and there's a few more. Our waitress was a skilled one, she could remember orders and was always on top of everything. I would totally come back!

Visited Andrew’s 4 times in one week when we visited NYC this week and I think this says it all!!!
3 times we visited was for breakfast and all I can say is WOW. Loads of choice, sweet and savoury! We had both, and it was out of this world. I had the meat lovers omelette which comes with potatoes and I would definitely recommend and the Nutella French bread is to die for!!
My husband had the Philly omelette which he said was amazing! He also had blueberry pancakes one morning which he said were phenomenal- I don’t think pancakes in the UK can compare!!! A proper American experience!

Another NYC diner that left me unimpressed. Service was good and friendly, but the food was nothing to brag about. The blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage were pretty good. But here we go again with the onions and peppers in the potatoes. Just stop…not everyone likes that!! My husband had an omelet, and he liked it! Just wasn’t what I was hoping for as far as food…

In town from Louisville for Basketball so just walking downtown looking for food and came across this spot and they didn't disappoint. Service was just fine. We tried 3 appetizers potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and wings all were good. We all were pleased with our entrees and we also got a slice of cheesecake and apple. Would definitely go back.

Enjoyed dinner here on a weeknight around 8:30pm, so there were lots of table booths available. Our server was courteous, fast & efficient. I had a chicken sandwich (a bit on the dry side) & my guest had pancakes & bacon for dinner! This is a basic, brightly lit diner, so what you see is what you get. Nothing fancy, just comfort food in a classic "diner" environment. // At the cashier's check-out station, there are some baked goods displayed in a glass case. We ordered some large baked muffins to take back to the hotel. Delicious!

My new favorite gem in NY. This diner is officially my favorite breakfast spot in the city. It's hard to find somewhere that offers real breakfast food at a decent price.
The staff is exceptionally fast and friendly (from front to back). Every bite of your food leaves your mouth in joy! I had the 2, 2, 2 and my fiancée had the omelet - both of us were impressed by the flavors.
We will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC!
Note, there will most likely be a wait but it's worth it. They will find a way to make sure you're in the restaurant and staying warm while you wait.

Nice atmosphere. Our cheese sticks and chili was good. However, my husband’s pizza was a little too burned under the bottom. He sent it back and ordered a Philly Panini. My chicken Panini was good but his was not. The meat was not chopped up at all and was dry. The manager tried to charge us for his food despite him not liking it and sending it back. They had can drinks rather than fountain drinks. So it was no refills.

Had breakfast at this place when visiting the city and had a delicious breakfast. The place gets crowded soon and you will have to wait in the queue to get a table. If you want to have breakfast without waiting for about 10-15 mins I highly suggest you book a table in advance. They have a nice spread of breakfast, smoothies and coffee. The food was amazing and so as the customer service. Food was served promptly once you place the order. Will visit again when in NYC.

Busy little diner but the service is quick. Food is hot and off the grill; you can see the steam from the pancakes. I like the breakfast specials. They serve large portions so your not hungry when you’re done. Been here 3x’s this week.

We stopped in late for some desserts. We were not disappointed. I had the cheesecake which was excellent, no frills, just the cake. My wife had an ice cream sundae with a brownie and it was also terrific. My wife got a decaf coffee and it was pretty old and she sent it back which is the only reason they aren't getting 5 stars from me.

We ate here twice while visiting the City. Found it to be a clean, modern, and friendly update to the prototypical NYC diner. Service was efficient, the menu was diverse enough for both of us to find something appealing, and the prices were reasonable. They even had some alcoholic drinks on the menu for those who would like to partake. I enjoyed the French toast, eggs, and bacon I had as well as the omelette. My companion enjoyed her omelette and tuna melt the previous day. Would highly recommend.
